Workshop Presenting in English for female researchers

Presenting research results at conferences is a key component of doctoral research as it enables researchers to share new ideas and developments, and to clarify ideas and related concepts. The aim of this practical workshop is to promote an understanding of effective presenting principles and to translate that understanding into individual presentations. During the workshop participants will have the opportunity to give a short presentation on their research topic, which will subsequently be refined using both peer and instructor feedback. Presentation skills covered include structuring a presentation, signposting, handling questions, rhetorical techniques, as well as improving one’s overall fluency.
